Wine Tasting

Sperryville is surrounded by several award-winning wineries that offer tastings and tours. Pick up a wine map and enjoy a day of gazing at the countryside bounded by mountains and tasting the fruits of the vintners’ labor. Feel free to ask for directions and recommendations during or in advance of your stay.

Farm Visits

Nearby farms offer tours and opportunities to pick your own fruit in season: berries, apples, peaches, pumpkins. Many of the farms are organic and/or feature sustainable farming methods. Talk to the farmer and enjoy the seasons through the fresh local food.

Art and Antique Shopping

The village of Sperryville and its surrounding area feature art and antique shopping, along with other small shops. The old Main Street has been recognized by the National Register as an Historic Village.  Whether you are interested in paintings, drawings, pottery, glassware or photography, Sperryville offers it all. Many of the artists call Rappahannock County home and feature it in their art.

The nearby town of Washington has many shops and art galleries and we highly recommend it as a beautiful place to stroll.

Spa Services

Massages, manicures, pedicures, and other spa services are available close by. Or the therapists can come to the B&B for an in-room massage. Multiple therapists are available.

Horseback Riding

Ask us about making reservations for riding. This is a great way to see the countryside.

Canoeing

Canoeing, kayaking, tubing and rafting are available on the nearby Shenandoah River. We can help direct you to the outfitters.

Fall Foliage

In October and early November, the trees begin to get ready for winter, offering visitors sensational leaf peeping opportunities for which the area is famous. Start with the huge sugar maple directly across the street from the Ordinary and move toward Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. Bring your camera and a picnic lunch.

Driving Tours and Car Service

Don’t want to drive? We can recommend a car service with a sedan or limousine, or just a driver for your own car. This works well if you are touring wineries or just don’t want to drive after that special dinner.
